Dr. Jaffe is the founder and visionary behind Riverchase Dermatology.  His goal was to have a facility where patients could obtain high level, cutting edge care for all of their dermatologic and cosmetic concerns by well trained and caring providers.  This emphasis on superior patient care is exemplified by having multiple locations for convenience throughout Southwest Florida, prompt appointment availability and utilizing the latest advances in equipment and techniques including MOHS micrographic surgery.  In addition, Dr. Jaffe’s philosophy of treating each patient as if they were a family member has been one of the core values at Riverchase Dermatology.

Dr Jaffe is originally from New Jersey.  After graduation from Cornell University, he attended UMDNJ where he completed his medical education as well as a residency in Dermatology including extensive cosmetic surgery training.  Dr. Jaffe continued his studies in Tampa, where he completed a MOHS Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology fellowship. He is Board Certified by the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Jaffe is a member of the American College of MOHS Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, The American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and The Collier County Medical Society.  He has lectured at major conferences and has published numerous articles in leading Dermatology journals.  He has also authored many book chapters relating to the field of Dermatology.

Kimberly A. Davidson, MD, FAAD

Dr. Davidson is originally from Wilmington, Delaware.  After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Virginia in Charlottesville, V.A., she attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA.  Dr. Davidson completed her medical internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and Dermatology Residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.  She joined the team at Riverchase Dermatology in July 2005. Dr. Davidson specializes in General Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, and Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr Davidson is a member of The American Academy of Dermatology, The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, The American Medical Association, The American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and The Collier County Medical Society.

Dr. Davidson has had extensive training in the latest cosmetic procedures. Her Cosmetic specialties include laser resurfacing with The Fraxel laser and The Sciton Profile. Other laser expertise includes the treatment of brown spots and rosacea with the Sciton BBL. In addition, Dr Davidson utilizes advanced techniques with Botox Cosmetic, Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse, and Sculptra to perform non-invasive facial sculpting. Dr. Davidson specializes in the volumalift, which utilizes injectables to contour, shape, and lift sagging/loose skin. Charles Camisa, MD FAAD

Dr. Camisa has practiced medicine for over 30 years and received his medical training at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He completed his dermatology residency at NYU Skin and Cancer Department where he served as chief resident. He later served as director of the Division of Dermatology at Ohio State University where he performed basic and clinical research on lichen planus and psoriasis, graduate education, and patient management. He next served as vice-chairman of the Department of  Dermatology at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation and director of the residency program from 1987 to 2001.  Dr. Camisa is board certified in dermatology and dermatological immunology. 

Dr. Camisa is currently the Director of the Phototherapy Department at Riverchase Dermatology and an Affiliate Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of South Florida in Tampa.  He specializes in psoriasis, lichen planus, bullous diseases, connective tissue diseases, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, and diseases of the mouth and lips.  Dr. Camisa is a leading expert in psoriasis, bullous disease, and other complex skin conditions, and patients throughout the country seek his experience. 

 He serves on the editorial board of Cutis and is a reviewer for eight other specialty journals. He is the author of over 140 peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters on skin and oral diseases and is editor of three textbooks on psoriasis.  He has also been voted one of the “Best Doctors in America.”  Dr. Camisa is the founder of the “Camisa Disease” which is a rare genetic variant of Vohwinkel’s Syndrome. 

Shanna M. Miranti

Shanna McDonough Miranti is originally from Ormond Beach, Florida. She received her bachelor's degree in Biology from Loyola University, New Orleans. She completed her PA training at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where she graduated with a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree in 2002. Upon graduation, she began practicing dermatology in Jacksonville, FL. Shanna was the first provider to join Dr. Jaffe at Riverchase Dermatology in 2003.

Shanna Miranti specializes in general dermatology for patients of all ages. Her scope of practice includes acne treatment, skin cancer screenings, mole evaluations, common dermatologic conditions, as well as cosmetic laser surgery.  Like all of the PAs at Riverchase Dermatology, Shanna has received specialized training in surgical assisting / suturing for skin cancer (MOHS) surgery.  She performs biopsies, cryosurgery, minor surgical procedures, and also has prescriptive privileges.

Shanna frequently gives lectures nationally on multiple dermatology topics to Dermatology Physician Assistants, nurses, and physicians.  She is a promotional speaker for the following Pharmaceutical companies: Warner Chilcott Pharmaceutical, and Medicis Pharmaceuticals.

With extensive experience in laser surgery, Mrs. Miranti has treated hundreds of patients with the Fraxel Laser for a variety of conditions including uneven pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, and the improvement of surgical scars. Shanna also treats a variety of vascular conditions with the Candela V-beam, a pulsed dye laser. Mrs. Miranti utilizes the Conbio Medlite IV for the removal of age spots and unwanted tattoos.

Mrs. Miranti is a member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Society of Dermatologic Physician Assistants.

Elizabeth A. McDonough, MPAS, PA-C

Ms. McDonough received her bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science from the University of Florida. She taught high school science for two years before returning to UF to get her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the College of Medicine.

Beth joined Riverchase in August 2006. Beth is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants.

In addition to helping patients with medical dermatology concerns, Beth also specializes in a number of cosmetic procedures to treat brown/sun spots, melasma, redness, varicose veins, rosacea, and tattoos. By choosing the most appropriate laser for each patient, she individualizes his or her treatment. Laser options include the Sciton Profile Laser, Candela V-Beam, and Conbio Medlite IV.
